STYLING A CAPE BLAZER

In the dilemma of what I was going to wear for my church graduation service, after choosing a gown for my school’s graduation, I started surfing online and yes I saw a nice cape blazer, so I spoke with the seamstress…

When it came to the choice of material I decided to go for a floral skirt which I saw a nety material in the store and I chose the suit color red because no other color would have been better on a ‘not fair’ complexion (smiles).

The blazer as you can see sits well on me and I wore it with grace but one thing is never try wearing this in a place without AC or in summer. I had thought the service was going to be at our church branch with AC but we had it in the other without one so…I was frying in it. With my hand-fan I had a lot of work to do trying to make myself feel comfortable.

Also with it was the choice of footwear to complement the outfit. From the picture I saw online, the outfit was completed with a strap heel which I gave a trial but to me it seemed a ‘No’ so I decided to go with a stiletto which wasn’t bad because it gave a contrast.

Godliness isn’t an excuse for shabbiness.

  1. Looks really good. NB – I was part of the sewing process. I am glad it came out really nice. As they say, looking good is good business.
