A consistent Christian life isn’t a walk in the park I must be honest, but I have also come to know that God’s grace is the grease that we must ask for daily.
Choosing and remaining on this path requires so much that we must constantly trust the Holy-spirit to help as we navigate through.
Here are my thoughts about Christian living
1)Love is the basis of our relationship with God
When I got born again in 2011,the fear of going to hell was one thing that drove me to making that decision & even though it yielded some fruits, got to understand a passionate dynamics months later -the dynamics of a loving relationship with God.
The understanding of God’s love should be the basis of our relationship with him.
Mark 12:30
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
The fear dynamics isn’t sustainable. Not only that, it isn’t liberating.
The currency Jesus used in the beginning wasn’t fear-It was love.
Hell was originally created for Satan & his cohorts.
Love is such a productive incentive that comes in handy in relationships and is as well the best foundation for a thriving relationship with God & Christian living
2)You must do the work
No thanks to contemporary theologies that says you really do not have to do anything.
The scriptures is replete with verses that reinforces the truth that we have a part to play following embracing God’s redemption plan.
Be wary of scriptural projections that absolves man from responsibilities.
“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”(Matthew 26:41)
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me(Matthew 16:24)
………it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.(Jude 1:3)
Could go on & on
We must do the work even after being laid hands on
Much more than listening to tones of messages, we must do the work
Away from the numerous corporate gatherings, we must do the work of having a personal altar that burns.

3)There’s no provision for rest
As humans, rest is something that is intrinsic and inevitable, but as it concerns Christian living, it could be fatal.
Of importance is learning how to trust God to hold our hands still as we navigate such seasons.
Whenever we take the position of rest that doesn’t look to God for strength, there’s a relationship distance created.
Matthew 13:25
“But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way..”
That period is a time that also weakens spiritual convictions & rituals which inevitably opens one up for attacks.
4)Love is the highest proof of spirituality
There’s a picture of spirituality that has pervaded this dispensation- Being able to pray for so long, being able to preach, donating a huge sum amongst many other things that we do effortlessly well, but we’re paying little or no attention to what matters most- Loving man.
We’re a power intoxicated generation that if you’d ask a group of believers their test for spirituality, be sure they’d mention so many things that doesn’t really include love.
We would rather pray for our neighbor to be healed than give financial support.
I like that the Bible affirms & corroborates that we can indeed do many many good Christian stuff that doesn’t stem from a place of love.
So how do we move from here?
1 Corinthians 13:13
And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
We must begin to give love the place it deserves. We must not relegate it to the background or esteem spiritual doings above it.
We must make love our banner above anything else & with time it inevitably becomes ingrained into our lives.

5)There’s a stability that consistency brings
Frankly speaking, I’m not one who’s had a linear growth since being saved, but recently, I’m beginning to see what one misses out as one consistently indulges in that kind of spiritual dynamics that doesn’t trust God for stability.
There’s a spiritual tenacity that is built with being consistent spiritually
There’s an assignment that can only be entrusted to our hands when we’re stable
There’s a revelation of God’s nature that consistency brings.
I pray that we’d have a revelation of these truths much more than I have written here.
I pray that our idea of Christian living comes from God himself not just from somebody else’s experiences.
I pray that we don’t get to know too much but live way below what we know.
