“Cleanliness is next to Godliness”

YES! You saw it right!

The colour white – It symbolizes all things purity and cleanliness.

A Dove – In Bible times, signified the character of the Holy Spirit. A clean (pure) Spirit.

The psalmist said;

Purify me with hyssop and I shall be cleansed; Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.

Psalm 51:7

Looking at this text in plain terms, without reading between the lines, one can see the psalmist saw cleanliness as needful. The literal meaning of course, is the cleansing from one’s sins.

For every genuine child of God, holiness – cleanliness of the heart is a watchword. It is that attribute without which no man shall see God.

…But dear Child of God, have you considered outward cleanliness too? I mean personal hygiene.

Our Bible hero of faith, Joseph, who had a coat of many colours, knew good personal hygiene is needful. Especially after he had spent time in prison.

Can you stand before a king or the president of a country without cleaning up first?

If no, why not let good personal hygiene be an everyday thing.

Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himselfand changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

 Genesis 41:14

Personal hygiene is not gender specific – Both men and women have to maintain good personal hygiene.

Dear single Christian Brother, please don’t be that anointed teacher of the Word with an annoying breath. Brushing morning and night should be a routine. Mouthwash does help too. Having mints with you is not a sin.

Dear single Christian Sister, please don’t be the one to lift up holy hands in worship with an oozing smell coming out of your armpits. Be clean for our Father in Heaven is too. Use an antiperspirant where necessary.

Dear married Christian Man or Woman, please don’t be the couple in Church that fire prayer shotguns to the devil but where you live is a place where dirt resides. Be aware of your surroundings! Don’t let your appearance chase away another lost soul.

Do you know, you can preach the gospel too with your neat yet decent appearance? You can…

Speaking of cleanliness, the outfit for today comes with the color white. Looking good doesn’t have to be complicated…

You can put on denim with comfy white tees or even with a fancy white top and you’re all set and ready to go about your day’s business.

Note: The type of white top you choose depends on if you are a minimalist or a maximalist.

The ‘school girl’ casual look the ladies opted for is looking a lot like summer on the blog today.

Paired with sneakers and a backpack, the denim plus white top combo is the outfit perfect for summer. To keep your top well tucked in or tucked out is a choice.

If you will be keeping it tucked in, you can decide to put on a belt which adds class to any outfit.

On a casual summer day, this is the go-to outfit…

On a day when you want something classier, why not switch the sneakers with heels and a handbag…a red colour maybe?

Keep looking radiant for HIS glory.

Thank you for coming by.
