“Yeahhh, that’s true, the native idea is cool, but not that khaki please” one of us replied with her eyes shuttling the 3rd and myself for an affirmation.
With the third smiling, I replied ” alright then” breaking the short silence.
So the next week, was in the market to source for fabrics, snapping different ones and sending to the others until we arrived at this.
Quite frankly, I didn’t like the design initially and immediately had to start searching for a good style to makeup for it.

While my tailor got the design, she used a wrong fabric texture & color for the lacey part and that dampened the whole outlook.

Immediately stormed the market myself to get a better one and as soon as I saw this minty fabric, I knew it was going to be the best option ever!
Hurriedly bought it almost without bargaining so my tailor could quickly work it in and as soon as she did and I wore it, I couldn’t stop admiring my beautiful self in the mirror.
You need to see how much I hail myself whenever I’m on a style that I know really looks good on me- the tailors would usually say “akor por!”
Let me go motivational now- there’s truly some beauty in the most ‘dirty’ things actually.
It probably just needs something to compliment and then the beauty begins to shine for all to see.
